To view and edit your user options, go to Tools>Options on the menu.
- Start-up Page:
- Choose any page from the drop-down. This page will automatically load when HQ start.
- Default date format:
- Dates are displayed in a number of places in HQ. Setting this option controls the layout of these dates. Please note: sometimes this is not appropriate and HQ will choose a different format in some circumstances.
- Interface language:
- Select the language that you would like the interface of HQ to be displayed in. (this requires a restart of HQ)
- Time zone & Daylight Saving:
- Select the time zone that you would like to use, this will then determine when alerts are displayed. You can also set daylight saving time to be on or off.
- Display Announcements on screen:
- Prevent or allow on-screen messages.
- Play sounds:
- Prevent or allow a ‘ping’ sound when messages are received.
- Use HQI:
- HQI extensions allow HQ to interact with the local filing system on your PC (not Mac at this stage) or server by using HQI extensions. If you wish to use this facility, click the “Optional HQI Download” link to collect the extra software from the HQ server.
- Add Invitees:
- Click this checkbox to allow multiple invitees to be automatically added to a new calendar event in the 1, 5 or 7 day calendar view. Invitees are added if they are in the filtered view of the calendar. For example, if I have clicked the “Team” button to show all team members and then added a calendar event, then the event would automatically become a meeting and all my team members would be invited. The event would also be shown on all their calendars. This is a powerful feature but can be confusing to some and so this feature is switched off by default.
- My SMS Number:
- Make sure your mobile phone number is correctly recorded here. This is the ‘reply-to’ number sent on any SMS messages (via HQ) from you.
- New Email Field Order:
- Allows you to choose the order in which the fields on a new email are displayed, for example it could be To, CC, BCC or it could also be Subject, To etc
